10k Statement

Handy Cross Runners would like to sincerely apologise to all those runners that were affected by the marshalling problem at this year’s Grant & Stone Wycombe 10k. 

The problem was due to an unfortunate and unforeseen set of circumstances which resulted in race marshals being absent from a corner of the course.  As soon as the absence of race marshal’s was brought to the attention of race organisers the matter was rectified.

However we are aware that the lack of marshal’s led to a small number of front runners in the race going off course which obviously spoilt their race.  If those people would like to make themselves known to the club they will be given free entries to next year’s race. To do this please email the Club Secretary, Chris Gentry, at chris.gentry@sky.com

Martyn Fox can thank a bad back for winning him a bottle of wine. After starting very strongly, severe back pain forced him to slow considerably thus making him qualify as the person returning the biggest deficit between the time I had set and the time taken. I hope that you have recovered Martyn.
